Lake Tahoe

OCTOBER 3, 2008

Today we left for a week in Lake Tahoe as guests of Tom and Lis. We had gorgeous weather all week with lots of blue sky. It didn't decide to try and snow until the day we left. It was great to get up in the mornings to pine scented air that was fresh and clean. We also made a side trip to California to the wine country.

Roadtrip to Sedona and the Grand Canyon

SEPTEMBER 15, 2008.

We spent a week on the road going to beautiful Sedona and the Grand Canyon, south rim. The views were spectacular and it was wonderful not to have any time frame. We had beautiful weather for the trip and ended up in Mesa to see Mike, Kate, and Adam for a few days.

God's Country

August 26, 2008

Here we go again. Today we headed up to Cedar City to a place called Duck Creek. It's a good thing that we have the Polaris because regular two-seaters could not fit on most of the trails. Nothing wider than 50 inches on some of them. We saw some of the most gorgeous scenery and hiked up to a place called Cascade Falls which is a waterfall fed by Lake Navajo through sink holes in the lake. There was also an Ice Cave where the snow never melts but we decided it was too muddy to hike into. The campgrounds there are beautiful. We may stay overnight on our next trip since it takes over an hour to get there.

New Additions

August 20, 2008

Hi Everyone,

We are slowly but surely making some additions to the outer appearance of the house and wanted to share this one with you. We designed this wrought iron door for the archway because we thought it would balance out the courtyard better. We're super pleased with the way it turned out.

Today we went to Hurricane and took a trip on the ATV's to a place called Fort Pierce. We also saw some actual dinosaur footprints. There were miles and miles of trails and plenty of beautiful vistas. The temperature was quite warm but there is always a good breeze blowing. The day ended with a ride up Honeymoon Trail. It was quite challenging, but the Razer handled it well. I think I still have white knuckles from the experience. The view at the top was well worth the ride as we could see forever.
